Ideal power transmission thanks to RW recess
- More power due to larger contact area at the bit
- More stability and precise positioning due to perfect fit of the bit in the screw drive
- One-handed work and excellent support when positioning due to tight-fit recess
- Fewer bit changes thanks to wide coverage of applications by just one bit
- Compatibility with previous AW drive
Significant reduction in the amount of force required when screwing in the screw
- Low gap effect when immersing the shank due to the displacement milling effect of the end mill
- Minimised risk of screw breakage due to high breaking torque
- Reduced risk of injury from protruding metal chips due to the integration of the milling shank into the thread
- Wear and tear reduction on processing tools
No over-tightening or stripping and high feed
- Higher power transmission in hardwoods due to reinforced, asymmetrical thread flank geometry of the coarse thread
- Better effective anchorage depth due to increased thread flank
Smooth thread start ensures optimised recessing and biting of the screw
- Minimised splitting due to the displacement effect of the dome-shaped milling elements, which are in the opposite direction to the tip with milling ribs
- Friction-reduced thread rotation allows reduction of the screw-in force to be applied
High strength values and ductility
- Adjusted heat treatment guarantees high strength values and high ductility
- We recommend using the Würth software or the corresponding design aids for planning and dimensioning your assembly. Dimensioning the ASSY screws can be carried out in the Würth timber construction software from a ∅ of 5 mm
- ASSY 4, ASSYplus 4 and ASSYplus 4 FT chipboard screws are optimised for use in wood and engineered wood. For applications in plastic anchors where load capacity can also be reduced, use only screws without an optimised thread tip (tip with milling ribs, drill tip, self-clearing groove etc.), such as the ASSY D screws with countersunk head or pan head
ETA-11/0190 approved
The requirements of the European Technical Approval (ETA) must be observed.

For steel-to-wood connections designed for pull-out loads
The full thread starting immediately below the head allows for e.g. a highly load-bearing fitting-to-wood or sheet material-to-wood connection designed for pull-out loads. The maximised thread length increases the screw's pull-out strength.
Can be used for outdoor applications and utilisation class 3 according to EN 1995-1-1
- Five times higher corrosion protection of the zinc-flake surface, chromium(VI)-free, 20 µm layer thickness, 1000 h in salt spray testing according to DIN EN ISO 9227
- Utilisation class C4 according to EN ISO 12944-2
- To increase the contraction effect or head pull-through resistance, we recommend combining the precisely fitting washers for ASSY 4
- ASSY screws are approved for quasi-static loads
- For optimum use of the screw, use the exact fitting RW bit
- Partial threaded screws are ideal for connecting wooden constructions. To achieve optimum assembly of the components, the components to be fixed must not be thicker than the length of the shank
