Slitting depth can be adjusted (0–5 mm) to suit the respective outer jacket using the adjustment screw. At the beginning of each longitudinal or circular cut, the blade is guided by lightly pressing with the finger. The outer insulation is slit using slight leverage movements and at the same time pressing the serrations onto the insulation. The blade can be rotated between longitudinal and circular cutting at any time. The tip of the blade must be gently pressed into the insulation when stripping middle sections.
