- Resistant to many strong chemicals such as: gasoline, kerosene, propane, butane, oil, benzene, kerosene, natural gas
- Not suitable for fluorine, certain fluorine compounds and molten alkali metals
- Very low friction coefficient
- Non-flammable (ASTM D-635 and D-470)
- Does not age
- Does not fray
- Does not break when bent or shaken
- Moisture and UV resistant
- Excellent tensile strength even in cold conditions
- Good electrical insulation regardless of frequency and temperature
- Thick adhesive tape; easy to seal a thread
