Available in different sizes, depending on the requirements.
Fire protection joints:
- Apply a properly dimensioned backing material in the correct joint depth to prevent 3-sided adhesion.
Fire protection sealing of service penetrations:
- Use correct backing material in the sealing according to the relevant installation instructions of the fire protection products.
The fire rated properties of the joints depend heavily on the joint geometry (one-/double-sided, joint width/depth). See separate data sheets or approvals of the corresponding fire protection products.
Read the safety data sheet before use. If backing material is required for the penetration or joint sealing of approved fire protection products, install it firmly into the required depth.
