The friction value of a zinc-electroplated screw is much smaller than that of a phosphate-coated screw → turning a zinc-electroplated screw requires less force and is easier. Small damages to zinc plating do not result in corrosion, but phosphate-coated screws are immediately susceptible to corrosion if the coating is damaged.
