For fastening plastic (PC, PVC, acrylic, etc.) roofing sheets to timber substructures, a dedicated translucent roofing screw should be used. The zinc-nickel plated translucent roofing screw offers excellent corrosion resistance and features an aluminium washer with a watertight EPDM rubber seal.
Installation is carried out using an 8 mm socket and a non-impact screwdriver. Do not overtighten the screw – the EPDM rubber seal must not bulge from under the washer. The wings under the head of the translucent roofing screw drill a larger hole in the plastic, allowing movement of the roofing sheet with temperature changes.
