Thread sealing tape, PTFE, TOPSEAL

Topseal thread tape is well suited for applications with high requirements for resistance to acids, pressure or heat. Approved for all gas types as well as liquid oxygen in gas and liquid phase. Topseal is used for sealing threaded joints in oxygen systems. It is also suitable for sealing threaded joints in other piping systems, e.g. hydraulics, compressed air, heating and ventilation, acids, alkalis, solvents etc. Topseal is suitable for most pipe materials such as iron, metals, plastics, fibres etc.

• Resistant to many strong chemicals such as gasoline, kerosene, propane, butane, oil, benzene, kerosene, natural gas


• Not suitable for fluorine, certain fluorine compounds and molten alkali metals


• Very low friction coefficient


• Non-flammable (ASTM D-635 and D-470)


• Does not age


• Does not fray


• Does not break when bent or shaken


• Moisture and UV resistant


• Excellent tensile strength even in cold conditions


• Good electrical insulation regardless of frequency and temperature


• Thick adhesive tape; easy to seal a thread
