Black zinc spray is a unique black zinc coating that combines long-term corrosion protection with a matt black primer in a single product.
Due to black-coloured zinc pigments, the product not only protects metallic surfaces from corrosion but also acts as both a functional primer and a black topcoat, thereby eliminating the need for an additional black finish. Innovative formula for corrosion protection based on black zinc flake pigments
Innovative formula for corrosion protection based on black zinc flake pigments
- Enables two steps (zinc primer + black paint) to be replaced by a single product, thereby saving time, materials and labour
- Active and passive corrosion protection
- The metal is actively protected even in the event of minor damage.
- Resistant to salt spray for 250 hours in accordance with ISO 9227, with a layer thickness of 40 μm
- Abrasion-resistant
- Fast drying
- Heat-resistant up to 400 °C.
- UV-resistant
Excellent adhesion on bare metal
- Can be painted over and coated.
- Suitable for metal structures, steel frames, brackets, fences and industrial components as well as for maintenance and repair work.
Excellent spot welding properties
Datasheets(X)
- For repairing and enhancing the appearance of metallic surfaces and protecting them from corrosion.
- Black primer and topcoat in a single application for surfaces on different vehicles.
- After welding steel .
- For repairing welded on, drilled on or damaged areas .
- Resistant to many "unoffensive" chemicals and solvents, including petrol and brake fluids.
- The base material must be clean, dry and free from grease.
- Shake the can for 1-2 minutes before use until you can clearly hear the mixing balls rattling.
- Apply the black zinc spray from a distance of 10-15 cm in 2 spray cross-coatings.
- Recommended dry layer thickness: 40-60 µm.
- Maintain a flash-off time of approx. 3-5 minutes between spray coatings.
* When applied in 3 cross-coated layers (dry layer thickness approx. 60 µm), the product can achieve corrosion protection category C4 in accordance with DIN EN ISO 12944.
It is not necessary to spray the can upside down after use, as the valve is fitted with a VPH orifice for automatic cleaning of the spring.
