Take-up bearing units comply with Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS). They consist of a Y bearing, which is a sealed deep groove ball bearing mounted in a cast iron housing. Typically, units installed in adjustable frames have an inner ring extended on both sides. They are locked by tightening the two set screws on the inner ring, making them easy to install.
