KLINGER® top-chem 2000 is a unique modified PTFE gasket. It is the only gasket on the market reinforced with silicon carbide. Unlike other PTFE sheet gaskets, it does not require retightening. It offers excellent chemical resistance to strong acids and bases, as well as outstanding mechanical properties at high temperatures and pressures. Performs best at high surface pressures. Thanks to its characteristics, the seal therefore meets the environmental permit requirements for the use of BAT (Best Available Technology) technology and therefore complies with the requirements of the law.
The only PTFE gasket whose mechanical properties are sufficient for applications above 200°C, making it highly suitable for heat exchangers and other applications involving high temperatures or large temperature fluctuations. Also highly suitable for many applications in the paper and pulp industry as well as in the chemical and petrochemical industries. Also highly suitable for demanding applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries, e.g. steam applications, oxygen pipelines and applications with high clean air requirements (TA Luft). Thanks to its versatility, it is suitable as a general-purpose plant gasket, reducing the need for multiple gasket materials.
