Brick tie is a stainless steel retaining clip used for fixing brickwork to the frame structure. As the structure is always in a wet environment, all fasteners must be made of stainless steel.
Ventilation gap must be at least 30 mm. The drive-in tie + locking plate combination keeps the insulation fixed to the wall, and the remaining part is bent to tie the brick wall. Fixed into a 6-mm drill hole with an ASPU hammering peg.
Recommended installation: 4 pcs/m².
- Stainless steel
- Fixed using a driving rod
- Calculated quantity 4 pcs/m2
Measuring instructions for brick ties:
Insulation thickness + air gap + centre of the brick + 50-mm bend
If the brick tie is fastened in a wooden frame for example, a minimum displacement of 40 mm is added to the wood.
Counter plates for drive anchor:
32 x 40 mm Hard wool 5938 002 015
32 x 60 mm Soft wool 5938 002 016
