MAG wire WURTH 2594 is made from high-quality austenitic-ferritic super duplex stainless steel, offering excellent durability and tensile strength against pitting and stress corrosion cracking. This solid wire is magnetisable and polishable, and its pitting resistance index PRE is 40. It is particularly suitable for the petrochemical and offshore industries, such as for plates, piping and other applications requiring high corrosion resistance. This high-quality wire provides a reliable and durable solution for welding and joining stainless steels in demanding environments.

  • Austenitic-ferritic super duplex stainless steel solid wire made of 25Cr10Ni4Mo alloy

  • high tensile strength and resistance to pitting corrosion and stress corrosion

  • Can be magnetised and polished

  • Pitting corrosion resistance index PRE = 40

  • Suitable for welding, joining and cladding stainless steels of similar composition (super duplex and duplex).

Applications:

  • Petrochemical and offshore industry (e.g. sheets, piping)

Where significantly higher corrosion resistance is required than that provided by austenitic stainless steels in chloride environments.

  • In the sour gas industry

For the transport of chemical products, in the pulp and paper industry.
