Machine tap for blind holes, model ST EX01, is a high-quality spiral flute powder-metallurgical HSS-E tap with VAP steam treatment, designed for general-purpose threading of holes up to 2.5xD.
- In the production process, powder high-speed steel HSS-XS1 alloyed with vanadium is chiefly used. This has an unbeatable combination of strength, toughness and edge retention.
- Premium HSCo high-speed steel is also used for larger diameters.
- Steam treatment (black) ensures smooth machining and prevents built-up edge formation
- Spiral flutes with 45° helix angle.
- Three-radius flute profile and constant rake angle over the entire flute length. This design ensures optimal performance and controlled chip evacuation in most materials.
- Thread depth up to 2.5 x D
- Short thread section ensures low torque and efficient chip evacuation
