Split pillow block housings are the most common type for heavy-duty applications. Various housing options and sealing designs are available, making customised housings virtually unnecessary and enabling a cost-effective bearing system.
A lubrication groove in the housing cover ensures lubricant entry regardless of bearing position, and a drainage hole ensures that grease can exit freely without compression or seal overload—these are unique features of Schaeffler SES housings.
Typical applications include agricultural machinery, paper industry, mining, material handling, steel industry, and power plants.
A complete housing unit consists of: housing, bearing, seals, and, if required, adapter sleeves and locating rings. All these components are sold separately.
