AG40 silver brazing alloy is cadmium-free, coated and does not require separate flux. This alloy is ideally suited for joining various metals, whether copper, brass, iron or stainless/acid-resistant steel. Working temperature 650–710°C. The brazing alloys are also suitable for use in the pharmaceutical and food industries.
- Cadmium-free silver brazing alloy AG40 (Ag = silver)
- Coated, separate flux is not needed
- Most commonly used to join different metals together
- Copper - to copper, copper - to brass, copper - to iron, copper - stainless steel, either one to the other or cross depending on the material selection of the parts to be connected, of course conforming to the requirements of the application
- The brazing alloys are also suitable for use in the pharmaceutical and food industries
- The higher the silver content in the brazing alloy, the tighter the joint clearance – the lower the silver content, the better the gap-filling capacity
