Flanged wrapped bronze bearing made of tin bronze alloy. The bearings have lubrication holes in the sliding surface. These holes enable a lubrication film that works from the very first movement.
This cold-rolled bronze alloy has excellent properties in applications with high loads and relatively slow movements. This bearing material performs very well in dirty conditions. Additional lubrication is always required.
Speed/load:
- Static 280 N/mm²
- 0.01 m/s 100–140 N/mm²
- 2.0 m/s 40–50 N/mm²
Friction:
- 0.06–0.25 μ depending on lubrication
Material hardness:
- ~150 HB
Tolerance:
- A bearing installed in an H7 housing bore achieves a final tolerance of H9
- Recommended shaft tolerance e7/f7
Lubrication:
- Additional lubrication is required and must be supplied via a grease groove in the shaft or housing
- All standard lubricants can be used
Recommended are greases with additives such as molybdenum disulfide or graphite
