Pillow block bearing units comply with Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS). They consist of a Y-bearing mounted in a cast iron housing, which can be bolted to a support surface. This version is strong and rigid and is suitable for applications where the direction of rotation may be constant or alternating.
The bearing unit is attached to the axle using the two set screws on the extended inner ring of the bearing.
